Creating Your Own Positive Self

There is always something in stopping us doing the things we most want to in life. We might look in the mirror and feel that we are not worthy and are not able to achieve what others do on a regular basis. Why do we think this way? Isn’t it about time we look on ourselves as someone who is indeed worthy of whatever we decide to do for ourselves and put more trust in our own ability. We are a unique human being that is capable of much more than what we have at present.

While our negative self-belief might be a dominant force in our life, what we need to understand is that it is just that, a belief, a core belief that has been ingrained in us from early childhood. We were conditioned from an early age and what we were taught and told to do by people we looked up to, was indoctrinated into our core belief. Whether it was a negative or positive self-belief within ourselves, this is probably what has dominated our thoughts up to now.

The one thing to remember though is it is never too late to change our core beliefs and they will only stay the same if we truly believe they will. If we imagine that we will always feel negative and that bad things will happen to us, then this will reinforce this belief system and will give us more of what we think will happen. The opposite is also true, if we believe that good things are going to happen, then our positive self-belief will grow and magnify. Like attracts like and your imagination dictates your belief.

You create your own destiny and it is what you put into your mind and think about primarily that will manifest itself into your own reality. Remember, you only have one thought at a time, so isn’t it better to make it a good thought. Start to focus on all the things that you want out of life and let them enter into your thought process and give yourself an overall positive self awareness of where you want to be.

Try to visualise your perfect life, where you would like to live, what car you would like to drive, where you would like to visit, what improvements to yourself you would like to see and anything else you can think of. See them as already achieved and vividly picture them in your mind, hear the sounds and smell the aroma. Make it as real as possible and do this in your favourite place everyday, all alone and in peace. Hone in on your own positive self-belief and make it your reality.
